1. What this means
Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. Local storage in the app (AsyncStorage and similar) works similarly: it keeps you signed in, remembers settings, and speeds up content loading. This Policy is published by the Operator of “Baltava”. Questions: info@baltava.com.
2. What we store and why
- Essential — Firebase session token, auth data (including Google or Apple sign-in), language and theme. The app cannot work without these.
- Functional — cache of listings, categories, and settings for faster loading with fewer server requests.
- Communication — device push token to deliver notifications about messages, listing statuses, and service events.
- Analytics — anonymised usage events (e.g. which sections are opened most), only with consent or legitimate interest where permitted by law.
3. Legal bases
- Essential technologies — performance of our contract with you and account security.
- Analytics and optional features — your consent where required by the ePrivacy Directive and national law.
4. Third-party services
Firebase, Google, Stripe, Apple, and Google Push Services may set their own identifiers as part of their infrastructure (e.g. when signing in with Google or paying by card). See their privacy policies on their websites.
5. How to manage storage
- Clear app cache: Settings → Cache & sync.
- Disable push notifications: Settings → Notifications or your phone’s system settings.
- Sign out — removes the local session on this device.
- Delete account and server data — request at info@baltava.com (timelines are described in the Privacy Policy).
6. Retention
- Local cache — until cleared manually, sign-out, or app uninstall.
- Session and auth tokens — until sign-out or provider expiry (Firebase, Google, Apple).
- Push token — until notifications are disabled or the app is removed.
